Status Matching Hyatt To National Executive Elite
First, sign up to become a member of National Emerald Club if you aren’t already. You’ll need your driver’s license information handy as well as a form of payment. National Emerald Club is free to join but adding a payment method is common when you sign up to a lot of car rental company loyalty programs.
As part of the sign up process, you have to select a Rewards Preference (eg. Hilton Honors points or National Car Rental Credits). I’d take into account the fact that since you’ll be becoming an Executive Elite member of National Emerald Club, that will make Rental Credits more valuable (see below).
Once you’ve done that, head to your National account and write down your National Emerald Club number (you’ll need this to complete the status match).
Now, head to your World of Hyatt account and screenshot your Hyatt Explorist or Globalist status. This is the second piece of the puzzle that you’ll need to get your status matched.
Now you’ve got all the pieces you’ll need, you can complete the match. First, take into account the fact that National status can only be matched once. You’ll be given Executive Elite status until February 28th, the second year after the match. After that, you can’t rematch, you’ll have to earn National status the usual way (see below).
If you want to status match now, head to the National Status Match page, enter your name, National Emerald Club number, National email address and upload a screenshot of your World of Hyatt Globalist status.
You’ll likely hear back with confirmation of your status match within 2 days but others have reported a slightly longer timeframe. I’d suggest contacting National after 3 or 4 days if you haven’t heard anything. National will likely expedite the process, especially if you say you’re waiting for the status to match before you make a booking.
