Status Matching World of Hyatt To MGM Rewards Gold
First, I would suggest signing up to MGM Rewards so you have a basic account that you can match your Hyatt status to. Like many free Hotel loyalty programs, signing up to MGM Rewards only takes a few minutes.
Once you’ve got an MGM Rewards account, head to the World of Hyatt MGM status match page. You’ll need to sign in to World of Hyatt before you can view the page.
Hyatt and MGM have a partnership so the matching process is really simple. You’ll see confirmation that Hyatt Explorist and Globalist members can be matched to MGM Gold. Similarly, Hyatt Discoverist members can be matched to Pearl status, MGM’s 2nd tier.
Hit ‘Opt In’ and you’ll be asked to sign in to your MGM Rewards account, if you haven’t already. Then, you’ll see your MGM Rewards account and a notification will pop up stating that ‘your account has been updated’ and your ‘MGM Rewards tier will be matched to your World of Hyatt tier’.
Status matches can take up to 24 hours.
Benefits of MGM M Life Gold Status
MGM Rewards, previously M Life, has 5 tiers. Usually, you have to hit a minimum number of tier credits to increase your status but you’re skipping out on those requirements and jumping straight to Gold. The usual requirements are: Sapphire (<20,000 Tier Credits), Pearl (20,000-74,999 Tier Credits), Gold (75,000-199,999 Tier Credits), Platinum (200,000+ Tier Credits) and Noir (Invitation Only).

FAQs
What About The $100 MGM Gold Celebration Dining Experience?
Usually MGM Rewards Gold members get an annual $100 Celebration Dining Experience benefit. However, MGM only provide this benefit to members that have earned status via Tier Credits. If you status match to Gold (eg. from Hyatt), you won’t qualify for the dining experience benefit.
