Matching Hertz President's Circle to National Executive Elite
The first step, if you haven’t already done so, is to join National Emerald Club. To join, you’ll need information from your driver’s license as well as a method of payment. National Emerald Club is free but a lot of Car Rental companies require that you add a payment method when you join.
Next, select a Rewards Preference (eg. National Rental Credits). Rental Credits are a good choice once you’ve matched to National Executive Elite status (see benefits below) so bear that in mind.
Once you’ve got an account with National, note down your National Emerald Club number. You’ll need that when you sign up for the match.
Next, go to Hertz Gold Plus Rewards and take a screenshot of your Hertz President’s Circle status. This is required for the match too.
Now, before you match, bear in mind that National only allow you to status match once. Once matched, you’ll be given Executive Elite status until February 28th, the second year after your match. Once that date passes, you won’t be able to rematch and you’ll have to earn National status the slow way.
Once you’re sure you want to match, head to the National status match page. You’ll be asked to enter your name, Emerald Club Number, email address (use the same one you use to login to National) and upload a screenshot of your Hertz President’s Circle status.
Usually, you’ll get your status matched within 48 hours but others have reported the match taking longer. I’d wait a few days and contact National if you haven’t heard. Especially if you’re waiting for the status to match before you make a booking.
Benefits of National Executive Elite
As a Hertz President’s Circle member, you can match to National’s top tier status level, Executive Elite. Usually, you have to hit a minimum number of car rentals or rental days to level up your status so you’re basically skipping out on that process.
