Universal Studios Hollywood Ride Height Requirements
/Looking for specific ride height requirements at Universal Studios Hollywood in California? This list covers all rides and attractions throughout the park.
The list below states the minimum height required for actual rides throughout the park. We’re not including show attractions as those have no height requirements.
Height requirements at Universal Studios Hollywood, when in place, range from 34” (86cm) to 48” (122cm).
Universal Studios Hollywood can be a challenging destination for those who don’t meet that minimum height range given 10 of the 16 rides have a height requirement. Other activities and ‘Child Switch’ can compensate for that but Universal, in general, does tend to cater to a more mature audience than Disney so you should bear that in mind.

You Can 'Child Switch' If Someone Isn't Tall Enough
If a member of your party is too small to ride, you can take advantage of the ‘Child Switch’ option, also known as ‘Rider Switch’ or ‘Child Swap’.
What is ‘Child Switch’? 1 or 2 group members can stay with a child that’s too small to ride in a designated area whilst the rest of the group rides. Then, the 1 or 2 group members that stayed with the child can switch with the rest of the party and skip the line. This means everyone who can ride gets to without having to wait in line twice.
Child Switch is available at:
Despicable Me Minion Mayhem - Request Child Switch Pass(es) and Wait (No Designated Area)
Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey - Request Child Switch Pass(es) and Wait (Child Switch Area)
