Universal Orlando Ride Height Requirements

Looking for specific ride height requirements at Universal, Orlando? This list covers all rides and attractions at Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure and Volcano Bay.

Unlike Walt Disney Walt, only a very limited number of attractions at Universal Resort in Florida have no height requirement. And that makes sense as Universal is aimed at a more mature audience. A member of your party under 40” (102cm) would be limited to 22 of the 53 attractions throughout Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure and Volcano Bay. The excluded attractions are usually the most popular too.

When a height requirement is in place at Universal Resort in Florida, it ranges from 34” (87cm) to 54” (138cm)

Options If Someone In Your Party Isn't Tall Enough

• ‘Child Swap’ - The oddly named but somewhat superior cousin of Disney’s ‘Rider Switch’ which means the whole group can wait in line together. One group member waits with the non-rider in a family room next to the loading platform. You then switch places and enjoy the ride directly after your other group members.

• Enjoy Wizarding World - Even if you don’t set foot on a ride at Universal, you can still enjoy the fully immersive experience that is the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Whether you’re riding on the Hogwarts Express, browsing Olivanders or casting spells in Hogsmeade.
