What Are The Marriott Hotel Brands?
Marriott, founded in 1927, is one of the world’s largest hoteliers. Marriott, across their brands, own nearly 7,500 hotels across the world.
Marriott have 4 distinct hotel tiers:
Luxury - Edition, Ritz-Carlton, Luxury Collection, Stregis, W, JW Marriott
Premium - Marriott, Sheraton, Marriott Vacation Club, Delta Hotels, Westin, Meridien, Renaissance, Autograph, Tribute, Design Hotels, Gaylord Hotels

How To Match Hilton Diamond To Marriott Platinum Elite
Thankfully, Marriott have made the process very simple. Simply head to Marriott’s dedicated Status Match page.
Before you match, Bear In Mind:
To be eligible: You must be Hilton Honors Gold or Diamond and you must have completed a Hilton stay within the last 12 months (Check your Hilton stays here).
Your Marriott Platinum Elite status will only last for 90 days unless you stay 15 nights in that 90 day period, in which case, you’ll stay a Platinum Elite member until February 2022.
Sign in to your Marriott Bonvoy account (or sign up if you haven’t already). Then you’ll be taken to a page where you can select your current loyalty program (Hilton Honors) and your membership level (Gold or Diamond).
Next, you’ll have to upload proof of your Hilton Honors status and proof of a stay within the last 12 months. I’d suggest taking a screenshot of your Hilton Honors Status Page (+ proof of your stay within the last 12 months).
Make sure to include your first and last name, status level (I’d suggest hiding your address, identifiable info and full member number for security reasons).
That’s it!
Marriott will get back to you within 10 business days and once approved, you’ll be upgraded to Platinum Elite within 24 - 48 hours of confirmation.
As soon as you’ve been approved, you’ll enter the 90 day earning period. To retain your status until February 2022, you must stay 15 nights in that 90 day period. Note, nights at Marriott Vacation Club, Executive Apartments, Homes and Villas won’t count. And, only one room per member during a stay is counted (regardless of additional rooms in the member’s name). Reward redemption nights don’t count either.
Marriott Bonvoy Benefit Levels
Marriott have 6 reward tiers, ranging from ‘Member’ to ‘Ambassador Elite’ with a range of 'nights/year’ requirements.
The 6 levels are Member (0-9 nights), Silver Elite (10-24 nights), Gold Elite (25-49 nights), Platinum Elite (50-74 nights), Titanium Elite (75-99 nights), Ambassador Elite (100+ nights + $20K annual spend)

FAQs
Do Marriott Points Expire?
Yes, Marriott points do expire. Bonvoy members must have an active account. An inactive account for 24 months will see all of your accumulated points expire.
However, there are a few ways to remain active. You can earn or spend points, convert miles to points (or vice versa) or receive points as a gift or transfer.
Will this work if I’ve received Hilton Diamond Through a credit card?
Yes, as long as you’re a Hilton Gold or Diamond member (no matter how that was achieved) and you can show proof of 1 Hilton stay in the past 12 months, you’re eligible.
